Automated level measurement solutions can greatly improve the efficiency of silo operations.

For a long time, sensor-based systems were not technically mature, so that reliable and automated level measurement was not possible. As a result, this often meant additional work due to manual control of the farmer.

Radar sensors detect the funnel formations in the silo and calculate the fill levels. Every two hours, the sensor sends the data to a cloud, where it is processed and transmitted to the farmer via the "Futter24" app.

The farms see the fill levels in real time and receive alerts via their app. This protects the silo from running out unintentionally. The risk of not being able to provide animals with feed that can result from an empty silo is minimized. And, of course, it saves time and money for companies if they no longer have to manually record the fill level of their silo.
